From the co-founder of the iconic Trans-Iowa gravel race comes the Hardscrabble Humper – a mixed-terrain backcountry cycling race coming to Eagle, Colorado in 2019 ***
The Hardscrabble Humper course covers 69-miles and dishes up nearly 8,200 feet of leg busting climbing in the Colorado backcountry. Course highlights include: varied mixed terrain and surfaces, big views of the towering Sawatch mountain range, the small mining town of Fulford, some bone chilling water crossings, a chunky hike-a-bike, and possibly a snow bank glissade or two.
The Hardscrabble Humper is designed to test the seasoned cyclists, but also be an obtainable adventure for the not-so seasoned cyclists. Regardless of your skill level, you will come out of this adventure with a new appreciation for your equipment as well as your inner drive as an athlete, cyclist, and human being.
We invite you to join us for a good Humping!
